OWI Checkpoint In Lafayette Tonight

The Lafayette Police Department will conduct on OWI checkpoint between 9:00 p.m. tonight and 3:00 a.m. tomorrow morning somewhere within the incorporated limits of Lafayette.

Police says the purpose of the checkpoint is to target impaired drivers under the influence of alcohol or any other dangerous substance.

Officers say they will respond with zero tolerance to any driver found to be under the influence.

Police remind drivers to always designate a sober driver if you intend to drink.
