The Lafayette Police will have an OWI Checkpoint this Friday night starting at 9 o'clock, and it will wrap up at 3 o'clock Saturday morning.

Lafayette officers who work the checkpoint, and anytime they are working, will respond with zero tolerance to anyone who is driving impaired.

Do not drive if you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or Lafayette Police say they will arrest you.

The checkpoint will held somewhere within the city limits of Lafayette.

Lafayette Police ask you to always designate a driver when you plan to go out and drink.

Impaired driving can be deadly and costly.
