OWI Checkpoint Yields 8 Arrests + Traffic Citations In Lafayette

Lafayette Police were busy Friday night arresting eight people and issuing 26 traffic citations during an OWI Checkpoint.

Spokesperson Cpl. Nicole Benoit says four of those arrests were for OWI, while the other four were made for other offenses.

937 vehicles passed through the checkpoint, which was held in the 2300 block of Johnston Street.
