A historian of early Christianity has made a startling identification.  Professor Karen King at Harvard Divinity School has said that a papyrus from the fourth century claims that Jesus had a wife and he named her as a disciple.

There have been some doubts about the claim, particularly given that the owner of the piece has asked to remain anonymous.
