UPDATE – Verot School Road Reopens After Gas Line Rupture

Update: Lafayette Police say Verot School Road is now open in both directions.

A ruptured gas line is the cause of a road closure on Verot School Road this afternoon.

Lafayette Police say Verot School Road, from the intersection of Camellia Boulevard to the intersection of Failla Road, is closed after construction crews in the area ruptured the natural gas line.

Officers advise drivers to avoid this area and use an alternate route.
