Person From Boys’ Home In Acadia Parish Alleged In Stabbing Death
Officials from St. Tammany Parish have told KATC-TV 3 that the teen accused of stabbing to death a Slidell man lives at an Acadia Parish boys' home.
St. Tammany Parish Sheriff Jack Strain says 17-year-old Clayton Maricle stabbed 20-year-old Nicolas Carmen to death.
Maricle is from Slidell, but at the time of the crime, he was on a furlough from the boys home in Branch which is in Acadia Parish.
He faces a sentence of life in prison if he is convicted of second-degree murder.
A 41-year-old man, Marty Anderson of Slidell, was booked with obstruction of justice as police allege that he tried to help cover up the stabbing death.
The sheriff says a woman called them saying her nephew had confessed to killing someone. Nicolas Carmen's body was then found near some railroad tracks near the Slidell area.
