Opelousas Man Charged With Attempted Murder After Fight

18-year-old Peter Jones has been arrested for allegedly trying to stab someone to death during a fight last week on Highway 190 in Opelousas.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz says Jones allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times in his back and side. The victim was taken to a hospital. Sheriff Guidroz says several witnesses, including the victim, were able to positively ID Peter Jones as the suspect.

Jones is in the St. Landry Parish Jail on a $150,000.00 bond on a charge of Attempted 2nd Degree Murder.
