Lafayette Police have arrested the suspect wanted for the June 22 armed robbery of the Piccadilly restaurant on Arnould Boulevard.

Police spokesman Cpl. Paul Mouton reported 50-year-old James Dansdill, of Lafayette, was arrested and charged with armed robbery.

Employees told police a white male entered the restaurant and loitered in the lobby for several minutes before he produced a handgun and demanded money from several employees. He was given an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing. No employees were injured in the robbery.
