Police Identify Child Struck By Vehicle

BOSSIER CITY, La. (AP) — Bossier City police say a two-year old girl was struck and killed by a car.

Mark Natale, Bossier City spokesman, tells The Times (http://bit.ly/OQSxjE ) the crash happened just after 7 p.m. Sunday.

Investigators say it appears Carolina Jeter was hit after she walked in front of a car as the car was pulling away from the curb and driving off

Jeter was taken to LSU Hospital in Shreveport where she was pronounced dead.
