Two robberies in Lafayette on Tuesday night have police looking for the accused criminals.

The first robbery happened at O'Reilly's Auto Parts on North University Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Police say the suspect, a black man about 20-years-old wearing a white muscle shirt and shorts, went into the store armed with a pistol, demanded money from the register, then ran away.

The second robbery happened in the 100 block of Delahoussaye Drive when a suspect got out of a vehicle, approached a person on the street with a knife, then stole an undisclosed amount of money from the victim. Police say the suspect got away in a black newer model Toyota 4-door vehicle. The suspect is described as a black male with long braids and a light complexion
