An arrest has been made in connection with the murder of a man last Saturday.

Crowley Police Chief K.P. Gibson said Friday that 31-year-old Brandon Moore of Crowley has been charged with the first-degree murder of Perry Davis, III.

"Our investigators have been working non-stop to solve this case and have followed up on every lead possible. We are still working on various pieces of evidence to present a prosecutable case to the District Attorney’s Office," Gibson said. "We still have a lot of work to do."

Gibson said Moore's arrest does not close the case as many questions still need to be answered and evidence still needs to be processed through the crime lab.

Moore was charged with one count of first degree murder, one count of attempted first degree murder, and one count of felon in possession of a firearm. No bond was set.
