Police Memorial Week To Be Observed In Lafayette

You're invited to show your support for local police officers killed in the line of duty. 22 local law enforcement officers have been killed in the line of duty since 1926. This Thursday, May 14th the Lafayette Police Department will host a Memorial Ceremony at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church on Camellia Boulevard. Relatives of slain officers and officers from surrounding police forces will be in attendance. A police motorcade will leave the Lafayette Police Department on University Avenue at 5:30pm.
