Police Pursuit Leads To Hammond Man Being Arrested For 7th DWI

A man is caught drinking and driving -- for the seventh time. State Police say Donald Murphy Junior of Hammond was driving erratically on Interstate 12 going through Tangipahoa and St. Tammany Parishes. When they approached Murphy's pickup truck, he tried to get away, even crossing over the median into oncoming traffic. Troopers eventually caught up to him and arrested him after he refused to take a breathalyzer test. In addition to DWI, he's being charged with driving on a suspended license among other charges.
