He was suppose to move to Slidell to have a better life, but police say so far, things are not working out like that yet.

Slidell police say they got a call last night and found a 31-year-old victim with a cut on his neck and part of his ear missing.

Police say the suspect was standing there with a 28-inch machete.

Officers say they don’t know why the two were fighting, but the juvenile is alleged to have grabbed the machete and attacked the man from behind.

Police says the suspect cut off the victim’s right ear lobe and almost hit his carotid artery.

The victim is now recovering after getting treatment at a hospital.

No names have been released in the case.
