Police Say Woman Took Her Toddler On A Drug Buy

36-year-old Wendy Kibodeaux was busted by Vermilion Parish officials after she was seen allegedly buying drugs, with her toddler in tow.
It happened in the Abbeville area when police noticed Kibodeaux making the buy. When they approached her, she put her head down and opened her hand so police could see.
Police arrested her on charges of possession of crack cocaine, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile, and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. Her bond was set at $12,500.
Her child was turned over to another adult.
Vermilion Parish Sheriff Mike Couvillon noted the help of tips from the community and encouraged continued help as they try to curb illegal drug activity.
