North Miami Police are under the microscope after they shot an unarmed therapist in the street this week.

The therapist, Charles Kinsey, says that he was in the middle of the street with an autistic patient when police shot him. Kinsey can be seen in a cell phone video with his hands up, but still that's when police shot the man.

The patient reportedly escaped from a medical facility and had a toy truck with him. Initial reports stated that he had a gun, but that was not accurate.

After the therapist was shot by police, he says they handcuffed him and let him bleed in the middle of the street. Kinsey says he asked police why they shot and the officer said, "I don't know."

We will continue to follow this developing story and hope for a speedy recovery for this man. We're just glad no one was killed in this incident.
