SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — Shreveport police are looking for a man posing as an officer who pulled a woman over last week.

Police say the woman was driving just before 9 a.m. Wednesday when she was pulled over by a man driving a white newer model Chevrolet with a single flashing blue light in the front window.

The Times reports police said the man was wearing some type of navy blue or dark-colored uniform with no patches, markings or badges.

The refused to get out of her car as the impostor ordered, and asked to see his identification.

The impostor then returned to his vehicle and left.

Officers operating unmarked vehicles may make traffic stops but only if they are wearing attire clearly identifying themselves as Shreveport police officers.
