Political blogger, business lobbyist and state legislative attorney C.B. Forgotston was found dead at his Hammond home Sunday.

Forgotston, among his many titles during his career, was most recently an active watchdog of Louisiana politics through social media and his blog site forgotston.com.

Forgotston regularly shared his (sometimes heated) opinions and expert commentary on KPEL airwaves as guest commentator on The Moon Griffon Show.

He was an outspoken critic of outgoing Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal. On his Web site, Forgotston posted,"There are only 10 days until Bobby Jindal is no longer governor of Louisiana!' as his final post.

Sources tell KPEL Forgotston died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Sunday. He left his wife, Ella Joy Adams, a note with instructions which led Tangipahoa Parish deputies to find his body at his home in Hammond.

Seventy-year-old Charlton Bath Forgotston Jr. was a native of Newellton, La. in Tensas Parish. He earned an undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University. Then, he earned his law degree there, as well.

He became a staff attorney for the state legislature's House Appropriations Committee. It was while serving at that post that Forgotston learned the ins and outs of the Louisiana political environment.

Later, he joined the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry as a lobbyist.

McKneeley Funeral Home in Amite is in charge of the arrangements. As of Sunday evening, arrangements were still pending.
