Honey Smacks cereal was recalled in June, 2018, after people were sickened by salmonella after eating it. Despite the recall, some people are still finding it on shelves and eating it. Federal health officials say that the total number of illnesses is now at 130 cases. The individuals affected live in 36 different states. Fortunately, no deaths have been reported.  The Food and Drug Administration reports the cereal is still for sale in some stores, and urges everyone to stay away from it.
