A student at Port Barre High School was booked with battery on a school teacher and public intimidation right as students were being dismissed for the Thanksgiving holiday break.  18-year-old L'Tredrick Roberts of Opelousas is said to have been "verbally combative and aggressive" with the Assistant Principal Barbara Roberson.

The incident happened at the high school on November 16th just as Roberson was dismissing students from the school for the holiday break.  Allegations against Roberts include that he was cursing and telling Roberson to get out of the way.  A coach at the school, Seth Ortego, also reserve sheriff's deputy got in between Roberts and the assistant principal.

Roberts was charged with battery and bonded out on November 21st.
