UNDATED (AP) — It could be days before power is restored to homes and businesses that lost it in yesterday's snow and ice storm.

Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia, may have been the worst hit, with nearly 850,000 customers losing electricity at the height of the power outage.

Pennsylvania's largest utility says about half of them are still without power.

In neighboring Maryland, power companies say 76,000 customers could remain in the dark until tomorrow.
