Residents of Erath will want to make sure they have their mobile phones charged and their wind up alarm clocks ready to ring. The reason? The power is going out in Erath later this evening.

Entergy says they will cut power to their customers in the city of Erath beginning at midnight or shortly thereafter Wednesday (September 19) morning. The company needs to make repairs on a transmission line that feeds power to the city.

Company officials said cutting the power at midnight was the best way to effectively get the work done while not disrupting too many homes and businesses. Entergy officials say the power should be turned off at midnight and be back on by 4 AM.

So, other than some flashing clocks on a few kitchen or other electrical appliances most people will not even notice that the power was even turned off.
