President Calls for Cost Cutting, Just as He’s Set to Travel : Afternoon

The President wants everyone to know that he cares about cutting costs.  That's why he is encouraging everyone in government to trim the fat...just as he gets ready to head off for a whirlwind tour that includes stops in Hawaii, Austrailia and Asia.

When asked about it, White House spokesman Jay Carney said that the President would not be cutting costs of travel.  That includes the $181,000 per hour operating costs of Air Force One when the President travels.

Do you think that the President is entitled to travel and spend that kind of money or do you think that this is the wrong approach for the President to take?
