Proposals To Let Current Policies Stay In Effect May Not See Senate Action
WASHINGTON (AP) — Senate Democrats are indicating they have no intention of allowing a vote on proposals that would allow existing health insurance policies to remain in effect under the new health care law.
The measures would formalize President Barack Obama's often-repeated promise that people who like their existing coverage would be allowed to keep it.
The administration Tuesday is refusing to take a position on the proposals from lawmakers in both parties.
