Members of the Jindal administration are urging state lawmakers to support the governor's proposed sale of three prisons to offset potential cuts in health care for the poor. Commissioner of Administration Paul Rainwater told the House Appropriations Committee yesterday that money from prison sales would help fund Medicaid.
