The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, along with the Federal Highway Administration and Lafayette Consolidated Governement, will be holding a public hearing on the public's thoughts and comments about the proposed extension of Ambassador Caffery from I-10 to I-49.

The hearing will be held next Wednesday from 5-8 PM at the Carencro Community Center located at 5115 North University Ave. in Carencro. The hearing will provide all information of the Draft Environmental Assessment and allow for the public is voice their thoughts as well. Members of the DOTD will be their to address any questions the public may have about the project.

The Draft EA is available for review right now at the Department's District Office 03 located at Hugh Wallis rd. Lafayette, LA 70508 and the Federal Highway Adminsistration Division Office at 5304 Flanders Drive, Suite A, Baton Rouge, and 1201 Capitol Access Road, Room 504D, Baton Rouge. You can even access it online here.

If you plan on making statements or comments at the meeting, it is suggested that you have your comments written as well to address them. You can send those to this address after the hearing is finished within ten days:
