“Race For The Cure” Packet Pickup Starting Today In Lafayette

Packet pickup is underway ahead of Saturday's Komen Acadiana Race For The Cure. Runners and walkers can pick up packets at Courtesy Automotive's Lincoln Dealership on Ambassador Caffery in Lafayette.

The first-ever evening event for Komen will be held at Sugarmill Pond in Youngsville starting at 4:30 on Saturday. The schedule of events is as follows:

4:30 - Registration, Runner's Expo and Kids Kornen

5:00 - Survivor Celebration

6:15 - 1 mile Family Fun Run/Walk begins

6:30 - 5K Run/Walk begins

The night ends with an awards ceremony and concert near the pond.

The event will be hosted by KPEL's Rob Kirkpatrick and KATC TV 3's Marcelle Fontenot.
