Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun baseball team (22-2, 6-0) took care of business on the baseball diamond Sunday, completing a series sweep of the Georgia State Panthers (10-14, 1-5), thanks in large part to 5 solo home runs.

Ryan Wilson, Ryan Leonards, Seth Harrison, Michael Strentz, and Jace Conrad each hit a homer Sunday, propelling the 5th ranked Cajuns to a 5-3 victory over the Panthers.

Senior Cody Boutte (3-0) got the start, earning his 3rd victory of the season. Boutte was effective and efficient while on the mound, putting in 6.1 solid innings of work, holding the offensively talented Panthers to 3 runs on 6 hits, fanning 5.

"Boutte went out there and gave it everything he had, and we played good defense and did what we needed to do to win," said coach Tony Robichaux after the win. "Everything came down to our approach. When you look back at Monroe, all of the runs we scored didn't come down to the wind, it came to the approach. Early in the game, we had a poor approach. Coach Deggs pulled the guys up and got the approach a lot better, and then we got some balls out of here."

The victory was the 12th straight for UL, the longest active winning streak in the NCAA. As impressive as the Cajuns have been on the diamond, the fan support has been just as good.

Over 10,000 fans attended the weekend series, the 5th straight weekend at the "Tigue" that the UL faithful has reached 5 digits. 10,691 were there this weekend, the third biggest three-day total in program history.

Fans can continue to come out this week as Louisiana will host a pair of midweek games. Tuesday, the Cajuns welcome Northwestern State to town, before Southern comes to the "Tigue" on Wednesday. Both games are slated for 6:00 start times. Catch all the action on the radio at ESPN1420, and right here at espn1420.com. Jay Walker has the call in both, with pregame beginning at 5:30.
