Ragin’ Cajun Baseball Is Just A Few Days Away!

The record setting 2014 UL Ragin' Cajun baseball team was gutted by the major league draft. A lot of folks weren't sure what to expect from an inexperienced 2015 squad that featured mostly underclassmen, and started three freshman pitchers.

Tony Robicheaux's young team wasn't expected to be very good. At the start of the season they weren't.

After about a month, they stopped making mental errors on the base paths, and the previously sloppy defense cleaned up. The young hurlers stood tall, and the Cajuns went on to a second consecutive Super regional.

My gut feeling is the 2016 team will be exciting. I took my grandson Nathan to his first game in 2014. He was thrilled to see himself on the video screen during the 7th inning stretch.

The 2016 home opener is February 19th. Nathan and I can hardly wait!
