Sophomore forward Shawn Long, a star member of the Ragin' Cajuns basketball team, has been released from jail after getting arrested on Sunday.

According to our news partners at KATC, Long was among a group of people who were asked to leave by UL Lafayette Police after their office got a complaint about Long and the others being in an area of campus early this morning. Police say when they went back to Trahan Hall, Long and the others were allegedly still there, after they were told to leave.

Long was charged with Entry on or Remaining Places or Land after being Forbidden.

Long was recently named to the All-Louisiana hoops team after averaging 18.7 points per game, 10.5 rebounds per game and 2.7 blocks per game. He was apart of a Ragin' Cajuns basketball team which participated in the NCAA Basketball Tournament for the first time since 2005.
