LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — A Ragley man faces charges of rape and molestation of a juvenile.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office Cmdr. James McGee says his office received a complaint on Oct. 15 regarding 46-year-old Christopher Watson alleging inappropriate sexual contact with an 11-year-old boy.

The American Press reports McGee said the victim told detectives Watson had sexual contact with him on numerous occasions from 1994 until 2000 at several locations in Calcasieu and Jeff Davis parishes and in Arkansas.

McGee said Watson confirmed the allegations during an interview Tuesday. He was then booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center on five counts of oral sexual battery, simple rape and molestation of a juvenile.

Bond was set at $800,000. It was unknown if Watson has an attorney who could discuss the case on his behalf.
