A new rail facility will be coming to Jeff Davis parish once that parish's Police Jury awards a construction bid for the project.

Ten bids have been submitted for the 4-million dollar project, and the Police Jury is expected to make a decision at its meeting tomorrow night.

The rail system is already in place, but the project calls for the construction of grain tanks, conveyors, grain elevators, and other equipment.

Officials say the project should be complete just in time for the 20-12 harvest.
