There’s been another rape arrest in Opelousas.

Wednesday, KPEL News reported about a woman who says she was raped over the weekend by a man with an axe. Now, St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s authorities say a woman told them she was raped Sunday after leaving an area restaurant with her accused attacker. The victim says she was very sleepy when they drove away from the restaurant and woke up to the suspect having sex with her without her consent.

Lt. Megan Vizena with the Sheriff’s Office says the woman was able to pick Travis Douglas of Opelousas out of a photo line up. He was arrested and booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail. He has since been released on a $10,000 bond.
