Rapides Board To Consider One-Time Bonuses

ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) — The Rapides Parish School Board on Oct. 1 will consider one-time bonuses for employees.

If the board approves the bonus, The Town Talk reports (http://townta.lk/15Tks9U) each contracted employee working without a break in service from Oct. 1 to Dec. 19 will be paid $465 on Dec. 19.

The agenda also calls for the administration to present a report at the November regular meeting addressing the parish's school bus fleet.

Executive board members requested from the administration a list of all buses owned by or leased to the school system, the age of each bus, the current use of each bus, the balance of life expectancy of each bus and the estimated cost of replacement of each bus.
