ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) — A Rapides Parish trusty who was picked up Sunday from a painting detail at the Rapides Parish Courthouse was captured Tuesday night in Baton Rouge, along with the woman who allegedly helped him escape.

The Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office tells The Town Talk 38-year-old Clynt W. Williams was arrested by the U.S. Marshal's Violent Offenders Task Force after officials in Rapides Parish received information on his whereabouts.

Williams had been serving time for a parole violation on a 2003 conviction for simple burglary and false imprisonment with a weapon.

Police also arrested 29-year-old Danielle Renee Lofton, of Ball. She was booked into jail, charged with being an accessory after the fact to simple escape.

It was unclear whether Lofton has an attorney.
