Rapides Schools May Get Interim Superintendent
ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) — An interim superintendent for Rapides Parish Schools is expected to be named at a special meeting of the school board.
The board will have a special meeting at 5:15 p.m. Monday. According to the meeting agenda, The Town Talk reports the school board will determine a method for selection an interim superintendent then will select one.
Gary Jones resigned effective Sept. 1 as superintendent to take a job with the state Department of Education. The board had voted in May not to renew Jones’ contract when it was scheduled to expire Dec. 31.
