Police in Rayne have arrested a couple for allegedly tying up a mentally handicapped family member and beating her up.

Police say they started their investigation Monday after first hearing about it. Police say the woman was duct taped, hog tied, and abused.

The victim also alleges the couple stole money and prescription medication from her while she was tied up.

David Joshlin and Deborah Credeur have both been arrested on charges of simple battery, theft, and false imprisonment.  They have both been booked into the Rayne City Jail on $17,000 dollars bond.
