A Rayne High School student has been arrested on accusations he stole a motorcycle and then hid drugs in it.

Rayne Police Chief Carroll Stelly says the owner of the motorcycle called police when he noticed Jacob Domingue driving it on Interstate 10. Police pulled Domingue over and impounded the motorcycle.

At the impound lot, Stelly says officers found half a pound of marijuana under the seat. Police allowed Domingue to retrieve items from the motorcycle after he made repeated calls to be able to do so. Knowing the marijuana was there, police allowed Domingue to do so, and they watched him taking the drugs away.

Domingue was arrested as he was trying to leave the impound lot with the marijuana. He has been charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana , possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a stolen vehicle.
