Rayne Man Arrested In String Of Lafayette Bank Robberies

56-year-old Muhammed Abdullah Nur of Rayne has been arrested for allegedly going on a recent bank spree in Lafayette.

Lafayette Police Corporal spokesperson Paul Mouton says Nur is accused of robbing Midsouth Bank on December 11, Chase Bank and Home Bank on January 10 and Chase Bank again on February 6.

Mouton says they were able to match evidence collected at one of the crime scenes to Nur. He's charged with four counts of First Degree Robbery. The investigation continues.
