Rayne Man On The Run From Police

A Rayne man facing possible jail time escapes from court and police need your help finding him.

Crowley Police Chief K.P. Gibson says shortly after noon Thursday, 28-year-old Layton Hamilton ran out of the Acadia Parish Court House onto Parkerson Avenue and 5th Street. Gibson says Hamilton then got into a vehicle and demanded the driver to begin driving. After going several blocks, police say Hamilton ran away on foot and has not been found since.
