Let's just call it growing pains. That's what some travelers out of Lafayette Regional Airport might encounter over the next several months as that facility enters the construction phase of a new $90 million terminal.  Among the first pains of progress, many of us could experience will come in the form of finding a place to park our cars.

An earlier Tweet from the Lafayette Airport had suggested that the economy lot would be closed as construction equipment and materials were being staged for the start of the project in a few weeks. However, that will not be the case, at least in the near future.

Still, those planning travels through Lafayette Regional over the next several months should plan for possible inconveniences in parking and terminal access during the building phase of the new terminal. Airport officials stress that travelers should plan on arriving at the terminal at least 90 minutes before their scheduled flight time.
