A 28-year-old nurse from Bayou Vista was arrested last week after a traffic stop for improper lane usage on Carol Road.

St. Mary Parish Sheriff's deputies say they received consent from Darlene Wilson to search her car.

Detectives say they found several vials of hydromorphone concealed on her person.

As they continued searching, detectives say they found more vials of that drug and other medications.

Detectives say that Wilson, a registered nurse, took some of the medication in her possession from her Morgan City area employer.

Wilson was arrested on the following charges:

  • Possession of Schedule II (hydromorphone)
  • Possession of Schedule II (Aderall)
  • Possession of Schedule III (Suboxone & Zubsolv)
  • Possession of Legend Drugs (Deplin, Zofran, orphenadrine citrate, Sumatriptan, ketorolac tromethamine, dexamethasone sodium phosphate, and sodium chloride) without a prescription

After booking, Wilson was released on a $4,500 bond.
