BOSSIER CITY, La. (AP) — A multimillion-dollar renovation is nearly complete at a shopping venue in northwest Louisiana.

Renovations at Pierre Bossier Mall include new porcelain flooring in the food court and other common areas, new outdoor signs, new lighting and fresh paint.

The Times of Shreveport reports that Rouse Properties is hoping a new, more modern appearance, new seating in some areas, and other amenities will encourage shoppers to spend more time at the mall.

The new seating includes long communal tables in front of Virginia College — a non-retail tenant with facilities in the mall.

Visitors and Virginia College students at the mall will have access to free Wi-Fi. There also are plans for a coffee kiosk to open near the college early next year.
