Rep. Gowdy Blasts President Obama [OPINION]

According to the Associated Press the US House voted overwhelmingly to expedite Congressional lawsuits against the President for his failure to enforce federal laws.

The ENFORCE the Law Act was written by Rep. Trey Gowdy, Republican from South Carolina who asked the questions,

How does going from being a Senator to President rewrite the Constitution? What's different from when he was a Senator? Mr. Speaker, I don't think there's an amendment to the Constitution that I missed.

Gowdy went on to quote speeches made by then Senator Barack Obama including one in which Obama said Congress should,

Go to the Supreme Court and have the Supreme Court say once and for all: We don't pass suggestions in this body...We don't pass ideas...We pass laws. And we expect them to be faithfully executed.

During his speech Gowdy also said,

We all swore an allegiance to the same document that the President swears allegiance to, to faithfully execute the law.

Thank goodness somebody in Washington can actually stand up and say the 'King has no clothes on'! Past Presidents have issued executive orders but not at the rate this President has nor were those executive orders invoked to prevent laws the President himself championed from being implemented.

How can we let Barack Obama destroy a healthcare system and then systematically have the nerve to delay portions of the very law he helped write, pass and jammed down the throats of the American taxpayers. He continues to delay the portions of the Affordable Healthcare Law (as even he refers to it now that even he sees it's failures) that fit into the plans of the Democratic Party to continue to 'buy' votes for the next elections. The President has also circumvented the law by refusing to defend the federal law banning gay marriage and also by allowing young immigrants to stay in the country even if they are illegals.

Even though Rep. Gowdy's bill passed by a vote of 233-181 I seriously doubt it willhave any effect on the Administration. I really think it's time somebody in Congress grows a pair and files for impeachment of Barack Obama and Eric Holder as lagniappe! Then we'd be stuck with Joe Biden as President but at least we would have a long line of presidential jokes until his term expired.

I think it's way past time that the Executive Branch has a trim or even a buzz cut before, God forbid Hillary Clinton is elected. Once she parks her broom in the White House who knows what wrath she will unleash on the Constitution!
