Louisiana House members have backed a $28 Billion operating budget that would appropriate every available dollar. This was something the two sides could not agree on during the regular session. The plan is being heard in the Senate Finance Committee on Thursday and could pass the full Senate on Friday.

11 Republicans broke ranks with their party and voted to approve the budget with the Democrats. One of the Republican leaders in the House, as well as a vocal advocate for having a standstill budget, Rep. Lance Harris of Alexandria, sat down with Moon Griffon to discuss what happened and what's next in the special session.
