An attempt to repeal state personal income taxes runs into a roadblock on the House floor. Representative Chris Roy successfully amended the bill into a resolution to study repealing taxes and how to replace the state revenues lost to a repeal. Roy feels repealing income tax isn't something the state should do.  Representative Jim Fannin says he's against repealing income taxes, andfavors the amended bill, which creates a State Commission On Revenue & Expenditures, to study how an income tax repeal could be done.  Representative Hunter Greene objects to the bill being turned into a study resolution. He proposes his own amendment, to return the bill to its original posture as a straight-up repeal of income tax...: (The House didn't pass Greene's amendment, so he returned it to the calendar. When or if it will come up again is anyone's guess.)
