New Orleans Saints linebackers Dannell Ellerbe and David Hawthorne both missed their second consecutive practice. With the linebacker position being thin, the Saints signed Jo-Lunn Dunbar today, according to Evan Woodberry of The Times-Picayune.

Dunbar spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Saints, playing linebacker and excelling on special teams from 2008-2011. In 53 appearances with the Black and Gold, he made 27 starts, winning a Super Bowl with the team in 2009.

In 2012, he signed as a free agent with the St. Louis Rams, who released him on Tuesday.

At 30 years old, the 6'1, 233 pounder could potentially see the field on Sunday when the Saints host the Giants if Ellerbe and Hawthorne can't go.
