The New Orleans Saints have reportedly made several roster moves, including placing wide receiver Brandin Cooks and safety Rafael Bush on injured reserve, ending their seasons.

Field Yates first reported the news on twitter, along with several other roster moves by the Saints.

Initial reports on Cooks' health status was a broken thumb that would keep him out a month. Yates report that Cooks' injury pertains to his wrist is new information, along with news that he's done for the season.

Veteran wide receiver Marques Colston and Kenny Stills will likely get more targets with Cooks sidelined, and both have played a large number of snaps this year.

However, veteran Robert Meachem has missed the last two weeks with an ankle injury. Joe Morgan recently came back from a team sanctioned suspension, while Nick Toon has only been activated for one game this season.

With Bush joining Cooks on IR, the Saints are also thin at safety. Kenny Vaccarro, Marcus Ball, and Jamarca Sanford (who was signed last week) are the current safeties on the roster, along with newly signed Pierre Warren. Warren was a member of the Saints training camp and preseason roster, before being cut when the team was trimmed down to 53.

Safeties Jairus Byrd and Vinnie Sunseri, like Bush, saw their season end to injury and currently sit on IR for the remainder of the 2014 season.
