Not happy with the depth at wide receiver, the New Orleans Saints will sign wide receiver Tanner McEvoy, according to Saints beat writer Josh Katzenstein of The-Times Picayune, and first reported by ESPN.

McEvoy has spent the last two seasons with the Seattle Seahawks.

At 6'6, 230 lbs, McEvoy has a similar build to that of former Saints wide receiver Brandon Coleman.

Coleman, who spent the previous 4 seasons in New Orleans was waived earlier in training camp due to a nagging injury.

Saints head coach Sean Payton said the wide receiver depth chart was "written in chalk" following last Saturday's preseason game, noting his displeasure with the performance of the position in camp and preseason.

McEvoy was waived by the Seahawks two days ago.

He joined Seattle as an undrafted free agent in 2016 after playing 3 seasons at the University of Wisconsin.

In three seasons with the Badgers, McEvoy was brought in as an option quarterback, but ended up playing wide receiver, safety and a little bit of time at QB.
