New Orleans Saints rookie wide receiver Brandin Cooks reportedly broke his thumb in yesterday's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, an injury that will sideline him for about a month, according to a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

New Orleans (4-6) is coming off their worst performance of the season in a 27-10 loss to the Bengals.

In addition to Cooks' injury, Safety Rafael Bush, according to multiple reports, fractured his fibula.

Cooks is currently the second leading receiver on the Saints roster, trailing on Jimmy Graham in receptions, yards, and touchdowns.

With Cooks out, the Saints wide receiving unit must lean on players that haven't played much this year.

Veteran wide receiver Marques Colston and Kenny Stills will likely get more targets with Cooks sidelined, and both have played a large number of snaps this year.

However, veteran Robert Meachem has missed the last two weeks with an ankle injury. Joe Morgan recently came back from a team sanctioned suspension, while Nick Toon has only been activated for one game this season.
